Who to trade in? Who to trade out?
I thought I might put it out there and get some feed back on how every one is going so far. I will start the ball rolling and would be great to get some comments from my fellow Coaches:

The Big 4 Trades
The next 2 weeks gives you the opportunity to make up to 4 changes. These are the most important trades you will make all season. Choosing the right players that will continue to make you dollars or maybe even be good enough to hold there position is the key to Dream Team success. The earlier you can find these Dream Team super stars the more money you will make and the more you will to help your quest of stacking your team full of guns asap.
Although we are just one round down in the AFL season and of course the Dream Team competition, you may have already had some pleasant and not so pleasant surprises relating to the performance of your team. It may seem harsh to drop a player after just one week especially with trades being like gold over the long 22 round season. But if you have spent big dollars on him it only takes one bad score over the first three rounds and his average will be below par and his value will drop accordingly. There are obviously two options, firstly trade him for someone maybe a lot cheaper who's score was through the roof in round one, like a Brennan, Jacobs or even Young, who would all have to break down not to gain value after there 1st up efforts, whether they continue this form is of course very debatable, but that's another story. The second option is to ride the wave and hope he can make up for his poor start and that the player will average out to a decent level in the end.
I say, use the next to weeks to pick up any likely cash cows that you may have missed in your pre season research or surprise packets that have got under all of our guards before price change at the completion of round 3. The more of these you can successfully detect the better your score will finish up. Any the more likely it will be that you take at the flag in your league.

AFL DREAM TEAM ROUND 1
One round down, Hope all the research has paid off and the hot tips for big up and comers for the year ahead is well on track. Some people may disagree but my theory is that you need to trade hard and smart for the next two weeks. With prices set to fluctuate at the end of round 3 you have just 4 changes to make during that time. any obvious blunders need to be sorted out and you need to pick 4 players that are achieving well above there price range. Easiest way to do this is to sort go through stats centre, be it on 'AFL Dream Team', or 'Super Coach' and check out the highest ranked players for the week, with an emphasis placed on seeking out the bargains. There are plenty out there already just one week in. You may see it as a little impatient to be trading already as form can be so volatile, but some one you were looking at buying at the end round two for $140,000 may have sky rocketed to over $200,000 by price change at end of week 3 so don't miss out, start your moves this week.

Dream Team - Game On!
The time has come fellow dream teamers. The time wives and girlfriends dread. I don't just speak of AFL season its self, but of course what this signifies. The start of 'AFL Dream Team' for 2007. Some of you may have a few players in mind, some may have been researching for months but either way you will be loosing countless hours over the next week trying to sort out your team before kick off on Friday. For those who take Dream Team pretty serious or even would just like an edge to help you beat your smarty mate. The one that has boasting the entire preseason about how he beat you last year and will do it again, here are a few tips for the season to come :
The most important of all is to focus on selecting players that are what you consider to be undervalue. Fill your team with as many of these as possible, be it through form drop or injury last season. Because the key to high scores is adding value to your team as the rounds go by. Yet again this year, probably even more so than ever there are quite a few of these bargains floating around. here are a few must haves for this year:
Nathan Brown:
Recovering from a broken leg and playing a lot of the season with a plate in his leg never reached the previous standard that we know he can produce. Will make at least $100,000 if you can fit him into your team. Current price: $235,600. A steal.
Luke Darcy:
Another much talked about and cruel injured star. Darcy has not played since 2004 but his pre season has been very encouraging and would suggest he can pick up where he left off before injury. Current price: $166,900. Will most likely finished the season valued over $300,000.
Nigel Lappin:
This tripple premiership star also missed the entire 2006 season there for has been given the very generous price tag of $196,400. His value will race up over the $300,000 dollar mark by round 6 or 7 so make sure he is a definite starter in your side.

NAB CUP ROUND 2 DRAFT REPORT
Jarrod Harbrow: Debuted in round 2 and made a super start to his career. Harbrow impressed with 8 Kicks, 7 Handballs, and 1 Mark. Whilst still on the rookie list and not likely to break into the doggies squad early in the year due to his light frame, he is showing great signs and is definitely one to watch out for later in the year.
Nathan Djerrkura: Geelong's second round draft pick, 25th overall in the 2006 AFL Draft, Djerrkura was NT's best player in the Under 18's championships. Known for his tough in and under style was very handy for Geelong on the weekend picking up 7 Kicks 4 Handballs, 1 Mark and a Goal.
Travis Boak: Showed why he was picked up at No.5 in the 2006 draft with a class display on debut amassing 9 Kicks, 5 Handballs, and 1 Mark. Another midfielder still with a light frame but with silky smooth hand and clean pair of heals. Will be interesting to see if he is given a chance in Round 1
Lachlan Hansen: Another solid performance form this highly rated key position player. Hansen finished the match against Fremantle with 6 Kicks, 2 Handballs, 4 Marks and 2 Goals. Offering a lot of hope to the Kangaroos faithful.
Lindsay Thomas: A Great pick up for the Kangaroos at No. 53 overall in the 2006 AFL draft. In his two nab cup games for the Kanga's Thomas has kicked 4 and 2 goals respectably and has provided much needed spark to the Roos' forward line. He reads the play well, and has fed off Nathan Thompson beautifully. He has seriously put his case forward for a round 1 birth in the AFL season proper.
